Frogs and a "freebie"

Before we began our study on frogs we brainstormed what we knew.  We then read our Scholastic News and watched a BrainPop show on frogs.  After this we were able to identify misconceptions and a few new facts along with vocabulary to begin our day!

While in the Daily Five Writing rotation the students wrote about frogs using facts from their Scholastic News as well as using their Can, Have, Are graphic organizer.

In the Word Work rotation students worked on ABC order with the vocabulary words and then using those words in a sentence and a question.

Our computer rotation was all about frogs.  More facts, reading and games.

Finally and our favorite we read and sang about Five Green and Speckled Frogs.  Each student created a frog to hang in our room.
If you like these ideas "hop" on over to TpT or Teacher's Notebook for the complete packet and a "freebie" "freebie"!
